Mr Funny Face
Hey mom (yes, you with the camera) – why don’t you forget about those boring trees over there.. and take a look at me instead!

Ok sure, Mr Funny Face, never mind the trees. I can take those pictures another day. What is this anyway; a little touch of spring fever? Hmm.. probably
The First Signs of Spring
There has been quite a few days since my last blog post. Among other things, I have spent that time – you guessed it – getting to know my new macro lens a little better. Here are some results.. so far. There will be more to come. I promise.
Melting ice.. almost like diamonds in the sunlight
The moment of rebirth. When everything is frozen and covered with snow, it can be hard to believe that we’ll ever see this sight again. But every year, no matter how long the winter may seem, life is born anew. That is the miracle of spring. It never fails us.

Ice is a true master of art, creating amazing creatures in miniature. Like this one – a bird ready to spread its wings and fly off into the blue sky?
A sitting teddy bear, enjoying the sunshine (this photo really illustrates the importance of enjoying the moment, don’t you think?
)
This one just wants to say a friendly hello!
A detail from a garden chair
But wait, I can do better than that! Closer..
Yep, now we’re talking
wow – this is fun!
More to come..
Not so Frosty
Just to balance, and perhaps share a little warmth in the middle of January; here’s a few summer photos.
My Camera and I

Among painters, it’s quite common at some point to make a self portrait. For those of us who are into photography, it’s not really that easy.. But at least you get a nice shot of your camera!
Although exciting things are going on in the Canon world these days, I must say I am still very content with my 30D.
I admit; if I was a millionaire, I probably would have been running off to the nearest store to upgrade my photo equipment. But I’m not a millionaire, and you know; that’s really not so bad. Having a good camera is important, if you really want to get into the challenge of photography (and I do need to save up for a few good lenses, that’s for sure) However, I believe really putting some effort into knowing your camera is equally important. And let’s not forget our most amazing tool ever; the one that never goes out of style – our eyes. The ability to “see” the world around us as if it was already captured on a frame; long before the photo is actually taken.
Over the years, as my interest in photography has grown, I have come to see the world in a different light. I see angles, colors and shapes in a whole different way. And that even applies to when I don’t bring my camera along (a situation I try my best to avoid..!)
I admit it; I’m in love. With my camera that is
) And I really look forward to the two of us spending even more time together in the future. Oh, and by the way, – there’s something about the light outside today, so actually I have to go – I was planning on taking just a few more pictures before that light starts to fade – …
Another Summer
Though there are still a few weeks left, it’s an inevitable fact that another summer is coming to an end. It has been a good summer. We have been traveling more than usual, and spending a lot of time outdoors. I even got to travel a little all by myself, which was also good, allowing me the time and opportunity to take lots of pictures!
I always get a special feeling this time of year; some strange feeling about the passing of time. It’s a mixture of sadness and thankfulness. I’m thankful for each wonderful summer day, for every experience along the path of life, – still; I should have made so much more of this time.
It occurs to me that it’s such a contradiction; Time is a gift. Time is given to us for free. Time is new every morning. Still we never seem to have enough time! How can this be? How can so much time go by so quickly? The comforting thought is; there will be another summer. Another summer to rejoice at the beauty of life and nature around us; a quiet lake at sundown, lazy ocean waves towards a beach, or a walk in the soft rains of summer. When I think of this, the feeling of thankfulness is clearly the most present one.
Visiting Skansen
One of the places I’ve always wanted to visit, is Skansen open-air museum in Stockholm. Today I finally got the chance. Of course, I had my camera accompanying me
Here’s a few photos. Next time I’ll even go ballooning!
Land of Bricks
This week we decided to take the kids for a little vacation to Denmark.
On our way to the hotel I saw these windmills colored by the evening sun
The main purpose of the trip was, of course, a visit to the famous Land of Bricks – Legoland.
If you would like to take a walk in this garden, you have to be about one inch tall…
Mr E and Mr S had some success in gold mining
GiddyUp now! We’ve got some horse thieves to catch!
A knight in shining armor
And another one… no wait, where did he go?
Ah! There he is!
After queuing up for 45 minutes (…) I got this picture of a very happy pilot
Evening sun over the landscapes of Legoland
I can’t help wondering how many hours of work that have been put into creating this world of Lego. It’s not just the buildings, the surroundings are just as impressive. Talk about attention to detail! Must have been a fun job though!
Our favorite souvenir from the trip; Lego brick shaped ice cubes!
